Ira Mitroshin

The world is full of stories. Let’s explore them together.

About Me

Greetings.  I am Ira Mitroshin, and I am a multimedia journalist based in the Midwest.  I believe that information is everything and that the key to understanding the world we live in is to constantly be informed. I am passionate about telling engaging stories about how global events shape lives around the world.  Global events very rarely affect one part of the globe, and so much of our life is impacted by events occurring many kilometers away.  I seek to make these events both engaging and informative, allowing others to see what takes place in the world around them. My specialty is in geopolitics with a focus on Eastern Europe, East Asia, and the Middle East.  As a graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire, I have developed crucial skills in engaging storytelling, videography, and audio production. I believe that people deserve to know about the events that shape their world, and as such, I am constantly motivated to find and showcase new stories to my audience.  My background in political science also allows me to not just tell stories but connect them to broader issues and analyze broader topics in the realm of geopolitics. My skills in audio storytelling earned me a finalist award from the SPJ (Society of Professional Journalists) for podcast storytelling. In my free time I also like love to explore the outdoors and travel the world. If you have a story you would like to share with the world, I would glad to be of assistance. Feel free to reach out to me via my linked in or by email.
